![]() After you beat the room, a set number of Chests appear, this is where the keys come into play. For Example, a purple icon with a ring means that the ring is guaranteed to be Epic quality. Doors also have a color, which gives you more information. I'm sure Charms, necklaces and Life Stones have their own symbols but we haven't seen them yet. Keys (Yes there are doors that give you extra keys)Įach Weapon has it's own symbol, and we are working on making a guide to help correspond the symbol to the weapon There are doors that give you:īuffs (Very Similar to the Dreamstone buffs) We literally cannot tell what they mean 90% of the time and have only figured out what some mean through trial and error. On top of each door is a symbol, now these symbols are NOT generic. After you've beaten al the trash mobs, doors light up, the number depends on how high you are, up to 4. I assume this is meant to wither your Life Stones down for the actual challenge. I did this with friends, and I haven't been able to get far because they aren't geared and keep getting 1 shot :) From what I can tell, elevator mode: You fight minions. I'll touch on that later.ĪToT is basically a "minion rush" mode. This means you can do so much damage to him, you can consistently skip phases.ĭreamstones suffer from a few problems, but they have nothing to do with Dreamstones and everything to do with other aspects of the game. The bright side to this is when the shield does break, he gets stunned for a good amount of time. The only exception to this rule is Solaris, who's mechanic is a shield that can't be crit and doesn't take effect dmg. ![]() This approach makes these less grueling and more fun as you're not just dumping damage into a health bar cough Destiny cough. It's very similar to World of Warcraft's Normal, Heroic, Mythic, settings. Every boss has extra dreamstone mechanics, and the Exalted version have more on top of that. For example, Greivous Sunsteel's Dreamstone Mechanic is after every phase he: runs away, does his usual bit, and turns off the lights. And it's not just more health and damage. Still extremely fun.Īfter the initial 9, you do the same 9 but guess what? Harder. This can be either extremely easy or hard depending on how much you struggled with each mini boss. In this gauntlet you fight all 4 of the zones unique mini bosses back-to-back. ![]() Nothing feels, "Unfair", everything has counterplay, which is amazing.Īll 9 Dreamstones are not bosses though, 3 of them are gauntlets for each zone. ![]() Making them extremely fun and you actually feel accomplished when you kill them. You are rewarded for playing correctly, and punished for not. Most bosses (Except 1) are not "DPS Checks". And it's not just, Oh the boss 1 shots you if you don't play perfect, and it takes 30 minutes to kill because it's just a health sponge. On hard difficulty, Dreamstones are an extreme challenge. They will kick you in the teeth if you mess up and you'll be quickly sent to the respawn screen if you make a mistake. I had the do most of the Dreamstones 3 times. But I did not go straight from 1-9 and go from level 30 (Roughly the level you are when you beat the campaign) to level 50. The most important question for a looter is, What do you do after you reach max level? I reached Level 50 after I completed the 9th Dreamstone, which is halfway through.
